THE HELP MOVIE

Film The Help yang dibuat pada tahun 2011, yang di sutradarai oleh Tate Taylor dan di tulis oleh Tate Taylor dan Kathryn Stocket, mengisahkan tentang kehidupan orang Amerika pada era tahun 1960-an yang pada saat itu mempunyai permasalahan sosial yang masih terjadi sampai sekarang. Pada era 1960-an di Amerika Serikat terjadi perubahan sosial yang menyangkut orang yang berkulit hitam. Permasalahan sosial itu adalah tentang diskriminasi ras. Di film tersebut menjelaskan bahwa pada saat itu orang yang berkulit putih menganggap dirinya merupakan manusia paling mulia dan berkelas dibandingkan dengan orang yang berkulit hitam. Orang berkulit putih merasa dirinya bisa memperlakukan orang berkulit hitam dengan perlakuan yang tidak pantas.
Lalu di film tersebut diceritakan juga bahwa orang bekulit putih memperkerjakan orang berkulit hitam. Pada saat itu orang berkulit putih yang mayoritas merupakan orang kaya, orang yang mempunyai jiwa sosialita yang tinggi dan merupakan sekumpulan orang-orang yang terpandang, sedangkan orang yang berkulit hitam yang mayoritas merupakan orang kalangan bawah, dan orang yang tidak terpandang di mata orang berkulit putih. Orang berkulit putih berpikir diri mereka berbeda dari orang berkulit hitam, dari segi kehidupan aktivitas sehari-hari, kasta dan cara mereka melakukan sesuatu.
The Help merupakan salah satu film yang mengangkat isu diskriminasi ras. Film ini menceritakan tentang orang berkulit putih terutama wanita-wanita berkulit putih yang tinggal di kota bernama Jackson, yaitu ibukota Negara bagian Mississip. Mereka merupakan kumpulan wanita-wanita terpandang, sedangkan wanita-wanita berkulit hitam mayoritas merupakan pembantu rumah tangga yang bekerja untuk orang berkulit putih.
Cerita tersebut mengambil sudut pandang dari si Aibileen Clark. Diceritakan kehidupan Aibileen Clark yang diperankan oleh Viola Davis, yang merupakan seorang pembantu rumah tangga. Aibileen Clark atau yang biasa dipanggil Aibileen bekerja sebagai pembantu rumah tangga dari dia berumur empat belas tahun. Aibileen menyangka bahwa dirinya akan bekerja sebagai pembantu karena dulu neneknya merupakan pembantu rumah tangga, sedangkan ibunya juga bekerja sebagai pembantu rumah tangga. Aibileen membesarkan 17 anak dalam hidupnya.
Aibileen bekerja pada orang berkulit putih yang bernama Elizabeth Leefolt yang diperankan oleh Ahna O’ Reilly. Dia tidak hanya menjadi pembantu rumah tangga untuk Nyonya Leefolt, tetapi dia juga bertugas untuk menjaga anak perempuannya Nyonya Leefolt yang masih berusia balita yang bernama Mae Mobley yang diperankan oleh Eleanor Henry. Aibileen sangat sayang dengan Mae Mobley, begitu juga Mae Mobley dengan Aibileen. Ibunya Mae Mobley tidak pernah menggendong Mae Mobley dan dia tidak pernah punya waktu untuk anaknya sendiri. Mae Mobley lebih sayang dengan Aibileen dibandingkan dengan ibu kandungnya sendiri. Aibileen mengatakan jika anak dari orang yang berkulit putih melakukan kesalahan, orang itulah yang harus menghukum sendiri anak itu dan tidak boleh orang berkulit hitam ikut menghukum anak.
Aibileen menceritakan tentang kehidupan di sekelilingnya. Dia mulai menceritakan kehidupan tentang Nyonya Hilly Holbrook yang diperankan oleh Bryce Dallas Howard. Nyonya Hilly merupakan salah satu anggota dari klub Bridge dan ia merupakan wanita pertama yang mempunyai seorang bayi di klub perkumpulannya. Jika Nyonya Hilly adalah wanita pertama yang mempunyai seorang bayi, makan anggota lainnya juga harus mempunyai bayi. Nyonya Hilly tinggal bersama suami, anak laki-lakinya dan ibunya yang bernama Walters. Nyonya Hilly juga memperkerjakan orang berkulit hitam yang bernama Minny Jackson yang diperankan oleh Octavia Spencer.
Minny Jackson atau yang biasa dipanggil Minny merupakan sahabat dari Aibileen. Dia  bekerja sebagai pembantu rumah tangga untuk Nyonya Hilly. Nyonya Hilly sangat diskriminasi terhadap orang berkulit hitam. Menurutnya, orang berkulit hitam sangatlah berbeda dari dirinya. Nyonya Hilly juga mempermasalahkan kamar mandi rumahnya, dimana pembantunya Manny yang berkulit hitam tidak boleh menggunakan kamar mandi yang sama dengan majikannya. Kamar mandi pembantunya harus terpisah di luar halaman. Karena pada saat itu Minny tidak bisa menahan lagi untuk ke kamar mandi, akhirnya dia menggunakan kamar mandi majikannya, dengan beralasan dia akan membuat the untuk Nyonya Walters. Akhirnya Minny ketahuan karena menggunakan kamar mandi majikannya dan Manny dipecat setelah itu. Nyonya Hilly mengajukan tentang pernyataan bahwa orang berkulit putih tetap harus menjaga sanitasi atau kebersihan dari orang berkulit hitam, karena dibilang bahwa orang berkulit hitam membawa penyakit bagi orang berkulit putih. Nyonya Hilly mau pernyataannya itu diterbitkan di surat kabar Jackson oleh Skeeter secepatnya.
Selain Nyonya Hilly di dalam klub tersebut ada anggota yang lain yaitu Skeeter Phelan yang diperankan oleh Emma Stone. Emma Stone di film ini merupakan tokoh utama. Disini dia berperan sebagai wanita karir, dan dia bekerja di sebuah media cetak terkenal yaitu surat kabar Jackson sebagai jurnalis. Dia juga merupakan wanita di perkumpulannya yang belum pernah mengalami kencan dan belum menikah. Skeeter pernah memperkerjakan orang berkulit hitam dirumahnya sebagai pembantu rumah tangga, pembantu itu bernama Constantine. Tetapi suatu ketika dia diberhentikan dikarenakan anak dari Constantine lancing masuk ketika ibunya Skeeter sedang mengadakan acara perkumpulan. Nyonya Charlotte tidak suka anaknya
Constantine masuk dari pintu utama, dia mau anaknya Constantine masuk dari pintu belakang. Lalu anaknya Constantine masuk dengan paksa dan membuat Nyonya Charlotte malu di depan teman-temannya. Akhirnya nyonya Charlotte memberhentikan Constantine dan mengusir keduanya dari rumahnya. Dia mempunyai tujuan yaitu untuk membuat buku tentang orang berkulit hitam. Akhirnya dia mewawancarai semua orang berkulit hitam termasuk Aibileen dan kawan-kawannya. Skeeter tidak seperti Nyonya Hilly dan ibunya, dia sangat menerima orang berkulit hitam di lingkungannya, dan dia tidak membedakan kasta antara orang berkulit hitam dengan orang berkulit putih.
Lalu Skeeter mewawancarai Aibileen mengenai kehidupan Aibileen. Aibileen memberikan informasi mengenai dirinya kepada Skeeter, dari mulai kehidupan sehari-hari Aibileen, kisah hidupnya ketika dia masih muda. Dari sudut pandang yang diberikan Aibileen, Aibileen mengatakan bahwa orang berkulit putih tidak pernah menggendong anak mereka, kamar mandi orang berkulit putih dengan orang berkulit hitam harus terpisah dan orang berkulit hitam dilarang untuk menggunakan kamar mandi orang berkulit putih, orang berkulit hitam tidak boleh langsung bersentuhan dengan orang berkulit putih dalam penyajian makanan dan minuman, orang berkulit hitam tidak boleh bersentuhan dengan orang berkulit putih.
Lalu tidak boleh ada perawat perempuan kulit putih yang boleh bekerja di kamar dimana pria berkulit hitam tinggal, buku tidak boleh ditukar antara sekolah berkulit putih dan sekolah berkulit hitam, tukang cukur berkulit hitam tidak boleh melayani pelanggan gadis atau wanita berkulit putih, siapapun baik orang berkulit putih maupun orang berkulit hitam yang menyebarkan tulisan tentang mendorong public untuk menerima kesetaraan antara orang berkulit putih dengan orang berkulit hitam akan dikenai hukuman.
Setelah Minny diberhentikan dari pekerjaannya oleh Nyonya Hilly, dia hanya melakukan aktivitas sehari-harinya dirumah. Minny mempunyai anak perempuan. Anaknya mulai bekerja sebagai pembantu untuk pertama kalinya. Minny menjelaskan ke anaknya hal apa saja yang tidak boleh dilakukan ketika ia bekerja di rumah orang berkulit putih, dari mulai tidak boleh menyerahkan kopi secara langsung kepada orang berkulit putih, orang berkulit putih tidak suka bersentuhan secara langsung oleh orang berkulit hitam, an terakhir dia tidak boleh lancang.
Akhirnya Minny mendapat pekerjaannya di sebuah rumah milik Nyonya Celia Foote yang diperankan oleh Jessica Chastain. Nyonya Celia tidak seperti Nyonya Hilly yang suka diskriminasi terhadap orang berkulit hitam. Nyonya Celia merupakan karakter yang berkepribadian lugu, baik, dan sedikit ceroboh. Dia menerima Minny di rumahnya dengan senang hati. Minny diperlakukan secara baik ketika dia bekerja di rumah Nyonya Celia. Sebelum Minny bekerja di rumah itu, Nyonya Hilly Minny banyak mengajari cara memasak dan cara mengurus rumah ke Nyonya Celia.
Tidak seperti wanita-wanita berkulit lainnya yang tidak mau bersentuhan dengan pembantu berwarna berkulit hitam, Nyonya Celia Foote mau bersentuhan seperti memeluk, mejabat tangan dan menarik tangan Minny. Suami Nyonya Celia juga sama seperti istrinya yang mau menerima Mannya dan memperlakukan Minny sebaik mungkin. Nyonya Hilly tidak senang dengan Nyonya Celia, karena mantan suami dari Nyonya Hilly dituduh berselingkuh dengan Nyonya Celia.
Adegan yang menarik di film ini ketika Minny mencoba mengunjungi mantan majikannya yaitu Nyonya Hilly. Minny mencoba membujuk nyonya Hilly agar permintaan maafnya diterima. Minny membuat pie cokelat kesukaan Nyonya Hilly. Ketika Nyonya Hilly memakannya, Minny mengatakan bahwa yang ada di dalam pie cokelat itu ternyata kotoran dia sendiri. Adegan di scene itu mampu orang tertawa.
film ini banyak sekali mempunyai daya tarik, tidak hanya jalan ceritanya yang bagus, tetapi latar tempat yang digunakan sangat cocok pada situasi tahun 1960-an, serta acting dari  yang dapat membuat penonton sedih karena orang berkulit hitam selalu ditindas oleh orang berkulit putih di dalam film itu, tetapi film ini mempunyai adegan yang bisa membuat penontonnya tertawa.
Lalu beberapa tokoh yang dapat memainkan perannya dengan baik sesuai dengan settingnya, Di sisi lain Film The Help juga menyinggung orang berkulit hitam dan menuju ke arah rasis. Kenap harus orang yang berkulit hitam yang menjadi korban di film itu? Ini bisa saja menyinggung rasis yang dimana di dunia ini rasis menjadi salah satu hal yang sangat sensitive. Namun dapat di akui sutradara berani menyinggung tentang rasis ini. Namun tetap penyinggugan rasis ini sangat dihati-hatikan, karena hal ini adalah hal yang sangat sensitive.
Nilai moral yang bisa diambil dari film ini yaitu kita sebagai manusia tidak boleh saling membedakan satu sama lain, baik dari kaya atau miskin, suku, agama, ras, budaya dan lain-lain. Seberapapun perbedaan ada dalam kehidupan harus dihargai dan menghargai satu sama lain. Kita sebagai manusia harus bersikap adil terhadap sesama. Jangan sampai kita terpecah belah karena masalah diskriminasi dan rasis.

[REVIEW] INSIDIOUS PART 3

The story tells about Elise’s life when at the first time before she helps Lambert’s family at Insidious one and two. Then she helps a teenager girl who has name Quinn Brenner was played by Stefannie Scott to help her to communication with her dead mother. But when Elise try to communication with Quinn’s dead mother, she get threat from a ghost who called the man who can’t breathe. After the incident, Quinn always followed by the ghost in her house.

According to me, this film is not too creepy like Insidious 1 and 2, but in other side this film made me surprise enough and interested. In terms of storyline the story is not too clear because the sequel is not sequential. From the ghost is not too creepy like ghost in insidious 1 and 2. The ghost seems like zombie not demon. I liked the scene when Quinn’s dead mother helped her to escape from ghost.

Firstly, we praise up our thanks be to the presence of God, the Great Unity, for showering us with blessing and comforts, so this moment, in this afternoon we are still allowable to celebrate the oath of Youth Day which is always commemorated annually where we also exist to hold.

Audience whom I fully respect, from year to year we always commemorate Oath of Youth Day. But year we always commemoration if we do not know the meaning and understanding of this commemoration. Our youth’s goal was one, that is freedom, free from suppression and colonialism, from determining fate and their own future.

Audience whom I fully respect, in accordance with our topic, in this Oath of Youth Day remembering which the youth is the backbone of nation and nation, suit is reasonable that is this moment we increase until and oneness for the sake of nation and state needs. But nowadays, a half of Youth being lazy. Technological progress has also been one of the impacts for youth nowadays. Many youth constantly play their gadgets,and forget their works. If this continues to be allowed, then it will have a negative impact to their future. We as youth should not follow such a thing. We may play gadgets or spend our time with something fun, but do not forget with our works like homework, assignment, and study.

SYNOPSIS OF DEMIAN: THE STORY OF EMIL SINCLAIR'S YOUTH

This novel tells about a young boy named Emil Sinclair who lived in small town with his parents and his sister. He tells his experience when Sinclair was ten years old Sinclair divides the realm into 2 parts, light world and dark world. He said that the light world was in his parents’s house, where he can find clarity, brilliance, goodness, calmness, full of religious and cleanliness. While at outside Sinclair’s home is dark world for Sinclair. Sinclair thinks that the dark world full of wickedness, rumors of scandal, sin, mysterious things, evil and frightful. When Sinclair was ten years old, he is a young boy who had good attitude, spoiled and fainthearted.

His desire to be accepted in a social group, making himself to create a heroic lie story about his story steals apples in a orchard near a factory so that Sinclair seems like naughty, brave and gallant in front of his friends.  Suddenly the story about stealing of apples in a orchard near a factory used by Franz Kromer. Franz Kromer is a naughty boy who was a few years older than Sinclair. Afterwards Franz Kromer used this situation for demand 2 marks from Sinclair, so that Sinclair could give 2 marks for Kromer. Sinclair felt so regret about that and Sinclair felt that he had already fallen into dark world. From the incident left a lot of trauma and Sinclair regretted the incident.

Someday in small town, there is a new student in Sinclair’s school, his name is Max Demian. He has known as Demian and he lived with his mother in a town where Sinclair lived. Demian’s personality very different from his age, with his mature personality, commanding and calm. The first impression that Demian had able to make Sinclair could not stop admire at Demian and makes Sinclair could not stop staring at him. The appearance of a clever boy like Demian with his thoughts and his cleverness has inspired Sinclair to find the way to Sinclair’s true identity.

Demian who helps Sinclair from  Frans Kromer’s menace. A few days later after that incident, Sinclair avoided Demian because Demian has a lot of rumors and mistery. When  Sinclair became teenager, his character and his social environment had changed since he was entered a senior high school.

At that time, Sinclair met Alfons Beck. Alfons Beck is Sinclair’s senior at School dormitory where Sinclair lived. Alfons Beck who makes Sinclair become a bad boy at his senior high school. Afterwards Sinclair met Pistorius at church when Pistorius played a song with his piano. Pistorius is a pianist at church who lived where Sinclair’s dormitory school at. Their meeting started with the story about Abraxas, then they exchanged thoughts about story, life and many more . Pistorius become Sinclair’s mentor and replace Demian for a while.

But one day Sinclair left Pistorius because Sinclair thinked that what Pistorius said, it did not agree with Sinclair’s thought. After Sinclair finished his senior high school, he continued his study to university. During holiday, Sinclair visited to Demian’s home for met him and Demian’s mother. When Sinclair met with Demian’s mother for the first time, Sinclair felt  this figure that Sinclair was looking for during his life and this is his destiny.

Summary of Lambert The Sheepish Lion.

Once upon a time, there was a Stork which were flying while he was carrying a white bag to the forest. Evidently, the Stork which called as Mr. Stork is delivery who was delivering packages. Then Mr.Stork was fallen into forest bushes. After, Mr. Stork had fallen and he was opened that white bag. In the white bag there are lambs. After that, Mr. Stork asked them to choose a group of sheeps as their mother. All of them went to choose their mother. There was a sheep who felt sad, because there are none of them won’t her as their mother. After that, Mr. Stork saw a lion cub on that bag. Then Mr. Stork re-check the note and found that the lion cub imported from South Africa.  Then the lion cub ran toward the lamb's mother and hugged her like his own mother, then Mr. Stork looked at his notes, there was the name "Lambert" on his note and showed the name belonged to the lion cub. The next day, the sheep’s mothers began to bathe their children who were ready to go play. Lambert’s mother let Lambert go to play with the others. When Lambert gathered with the other lambs, Lambert continued to be bullied and mocked by the lambs by singing "Lambert is the sheepish lion" to Lambert. The lambs say that Lambert is very different from the other sheep.  As time goes by, the lambs had grown into adult sheep, and Lambert also grew into an adult lion. One night when all the sheep were fast asleep, came the sound of the wolf howling from the mountain. Then the wolf looked at a bunch of sheep and began to approach him. Lambert was terrified of the wolf. When Lambert hid from the wolf, lambert's mother was taken by the wolf. Lambert's mother shouted for Lambert's help, but Lambert still did not help her. Lambert's mother fled from the wolf towards the abyss. At that time something happened to Lambert, as if the instinct of his forest king surprised Lambert from inside. After that Lambert became brave and like a lion in general.  Then Lambert went after to his mother from the wolf. Lambert drove the wolf out by roaring and roaring, then he pushed the wolf toward the abyss. Lambert's mother was very proud of Lambert because Lambert had dared to help her from the pursuit of a wolf.
