REOG PONOROGO

     7. Majapahit translated into English, it becomes Majapahit. It is correct, because the word of Majapahit based on the cultural word of Indonesia and it could not change in translate. 
     8. Ki Ageng Kutu.translated into English, it becomes Ki Ageng Kutu. It is correct, because Ki Ageng Kutu is the name of person from Indonesia, so it could not be changed in translate.

Ada beberapa versi cerita yang menjelaskan tentang asal usul Reog Ponorogo ini. Salah satu yang paling terkenal adalah cerita pemberontakan Ki Ageng Kutu, yang merupakan seorang abdi kerajaan pada masa Bhre Kertabhumi, Raja Majapahit terakhir yang berkuasa pada abad ke-15. Dalam pemberontakan tersebut, Ki Ageng Kutu membuat kesenian reog sebagai pesan politiknya yang merupakan sindiran kepada raja. Selain itu dia membangun perlawanan masyarakat local menggunakan reog ini. Dalam pertunjukan reog tersebut menampilkan topeng berbentuk singa dengan bulu merak di atasnya yang menyimbolkan raja kertabhumi sebagai singa dan bulu merak diatasnya sebagai pengaruh cina yang mengatur pemerintahan raja. Selain itu ada kelompok penari gemblak yang menunggangi kuda sebagai simbol pasukan Majapahit, dan warok yang menjadi simbol Ki Ageng Kutu.

There are several versions of the story that explain about the origin of this Reog Ponorogo One of the most famous is the story of Ki Ageng Kutu rebellion, who was a royal servant in the Bhre Kertabhumi period, the last King Majapahit who came to power in the 15th century. In the rebellion, Ki Ageng Kutu made art Reog as his political message which is the satire to the king. In addition he builds up the resistance of the local community using this Reog. In the Reog show featuring a lion-shaped mask with peacock feathers on it that symbolize Kertabhumi king as a lion and peacock feather on it as a chinese influence governing the king's rule. In addition there are groups of Gemblak dancers who ride a horse as a symbol of Majapahit troops, and Warok symbols of Ki Ageng Kutu.
